Debut Employer Profile

I organised user interviews and facilitated a design workshop that helped the team move from an observed information gap to a shipped employer profile page.

The outcome

We shipped the improvement. It was used by employers and users, positively impacting talent liquidity.

Context and goals

I organised and conducted user interviews for a product initiative that we eventually rejected. During those interviews we discovered that users needed more information about potential employers than we provided in the Debut app. This lack of information led them to exit our app and google the company.

I organised and facilitated a shortened version of the first day of the Design Sprint methodology to create a shared understanding of the problem and produce a variety of solutions as high-level sketches.

Workshop output

The workshop gave the team a shared problem frame and a set of high-level solution sketches. We selected a direction, moved it into wireframes, and then into a prototype before shipping the improvement.
